It is really a “it depends” situation.
What sort of travel plans (required or aspirational) do you foresee in the coming 1-3 years?
Depending on the destinations, some airlines fly to these destinations, some doesn’t. Then you need to look up airline partners/alliance as you can use a certain airline program currency that has access with other partner/alliance flights.
