When did the waiting period change from 12 to 18 months for the Qantas American Express Ultimate Card?

Does anyone know when the waiting period changed from 12 to 18 months for the 100,000 point offer on this card?

Having difficulty getting my bonus points as they claim the waiting period is 18 months. I know it is now but when I applied it was 12 months when I saw the card advertised on this very site in August 2017. I registered for the card over the phone and double checked my eligibility with the guy assisting me to be told all was well.


As far as I can remember, it was nearly 7-9 months ago that AmEx changed their waiting period policy to 18 months. Since you say the card was registered over the phone, ask the AmEx CS to pull up the call recording (they should have it since its an application) and tell them that you were assured all was well for the bonus points. AmEx CS is very good with helping out (as far as my experience goes). Good Luck.
