Two of us are travelling on the same flight in BC, but on different bookings. I have two first-class lounge passes, which I would like to use for that flight. The Qantas website doesn’t allow transfer of Titanium First Lounge passes, but I’m trying my luck to see if anyone has found a way around it. I hear the temporary business lounge is so-so.
Hi @optionholder,
I have the Qantas Titanium card. Unfortunately the complimentary 1st Class Lounge passes are not transferrable. Nor do they allow a travel partner to access the lounge as your guest when travelling together. I found this out the hard way in Singapore Airport at the Qantas 1st Class lounge reception desk… Mmmm, yes slightly embarrassing! hahaha
Thankfully, if you’re in business class you will both have access to the Business Class lounge facilities as part of your ticket/booking. Or, if you are a Qantas Club member, you can enter the Business Class lounge and bring a guest with you too. eg: if flying on an economy class ticket.
Something else to be aware of too, is that you have to link your 1st Class lounge pass to your booking prior to travel to redeem it, thus “using it up” so to speak. So you now have a dud pass, that can’t be used - unless of course you are going to enter for yourself and leave your travel companion to “schlep” it in the Business Class lounge. In my case I wasn’t going to do that, so my wife and I just went to the Business Class lounge together. When I contacted Qantas to ask if they would re-credit my 1st Class pass back to me, given that it wasn’t used etc… they refused. Instead, they gave me 250pts. Make of that what you will.
That is a really shitty policy and their response was just adding salt to the wounds.
Good to know. Sorry it happened to you.
I can’t believe companies like Qantas go out of their way to be so shitty to their loyal customers.
