Should I transfer ANZ Rewards points to Krisflyer directly or via Velocity (transfer bonus)?

Hi there,

I’m having difficulty calculating the best value for the November points bonus offer from ANZ Rewards. I want to transfer my ANZ Rewards points to Kris Flyer.

  1. Convert ANZ Rewards points direct to Kris Flyer @ 0.5 Kris Flyer miles to 1 ANZ Reward point
    100,000 ANZ Rewards points = 50,000 Kris Flyer miles

or

  1. Convert ANZ Rewards points to Velocity points with 30% bonus
    100,000 ANZ Rewards points with 30% bonus = 130,000
    130,000 Velocity Points to Kris Flyer x 0.75 = 97,500 Kris Fler miles

Is this correct - it’s better value to transfer my ANZ Rewards points to Velocity first then on to Kris Flyer?

3 ANZ Rewards points convert to 1 Kris Flyer

100,000 ANZ Rewards points = 33,333 Kris Flyer miles

 

2 ANZ Rewards points convert to 1 Velocity point

100,000 ANZ Rewards points = 50,000 velocity points

Adding 30% bonus it is 65,000 velocity points

65,000 Velocity Points = 48,148 Kris Flyer miles
