Need help with adding a flight to Qantas RTW itinerary issue

Hey everyone,

I’ve booked a Qantas Oneworld Classic Flight Reward and want to add one more segment to my itinerary. When I tested my full itinerary, including the additional leg, using the Qantas multi-city booking tool, it priced correctly at 132,400 points. However, when I proceeded with the booking, I got an error.

I then called Qantas to manually add the extra leg to my existing booking, but they also encountered an error. After about 15 minutes of “investigating,” they told me I had too many stopovers, but I believe I’m still within the 5 allowed.

  • Hong Kong (HKG) → Sydney (SYD) – CX111 • 29/0619:10 - 06:10 (+1) - stopover

  • Kuala Lumpur (KUL) → Cochin (COK) – MH108 • 27/0822:00 - 23:20 - stopover
  • COK → DEL - surface sector
  • Delhi (DEL) → Helsinki (HEL) – AY122 • 01/0907:40 - 14:25 - segment
  • Helsinki (HEL) → Rome (FCO) – AY1763 • 01/0915:35 - 18:00 - stopover
  • COK → DEL - surface sector
  • Paris (CDG) → Kuala Lumpur (KUL) – MH21 • 19/0911:25 - 06:10 (+1) - segment

The Flight I Want to Add:

  • Barcelona (BCN) → Paris (CDG) via London Heathrow (LHR)
    • BA477 (BCN → LHR) 07:40 - 09:05 - segment
    • BA308 (LHR → CDG) 10:45 - 13:10 - stopover

When I initially built the itinerary in the Qantas multi-city tool, it priced correctly as a 132,400-point RTW Classic Flight Reward, but it won’t let me ticket it.

Has anyone experienced a similar issue? Any suggestions on how to proceed?

For anyone having the same issue, I messaged the official Qantas page on Facebook and they helped me out. They take a while to reply to messages but they actually know what they’re doing compared to the phone agents.
