Is government spend on Amex Qantas Ultimate considered as eligible spend?

Hi,

I had signed up for the Qantas Ultimate Amex when there was the 120,000 bonus points promotion on recently. I’m wondering if government spent (taxes, etc) count towards the 4,500 Aud minimum spend in the first 3 months to get the 120,000 bonus points?

Hi Markus,

As that offer is no longer current, the T&Cs are no longer available on the web (I generally take a screenshot of the relevant T&Cs when applying, in case there are any issues/problems). However, the T&Cs for the current sign-up bonus (55,000 points) indicate that government spending does count.

See section 1 “Bonus & Eligibility” of the T&Cs.

Thanks! Yes, I missed taking a screenshot of the T&Cs when the offer was still on. I guess you’re right and they would be similar to the T&Cs for the 55k point offer.
