If I have a Bankwest Qantas platinum card, am I eligible for a Qantas premier platinum sign up bonus?
Or does the fact that the Qantas card is issued from a different bank mean I still entitled?

Hello and welcome @hart.ross!
Please note, none of the following is financial advice… always read the fine print and what’s “written on the tin” when considering anything to do with a money oriented decision!
I believe that if you were to successfully apply for a Qantas Premier Platinum card, you would be eligible for some of the Qantas Frequent Flyer bonus points on offer - assuming you met the spending criteria ($3,000 or more on eligible purchases within 3 months of card approval).

There are 80,000 bonus points on offer, however the catch lies in the fine print:
Earn up to 80,000 bonus Qantas Points. New cardholders receive 50,000 bonus Qantas Points when $3,000 or more is spent on eligible purchases within 3 months from card approval.1 Plus an additional 30,000 bonus points if you haven’t earned Qantas Points with a credit card in the last 12 months.
That last sentence is the kicker. I’ve not seen this before - maybe because I haven’t applied for this card ever. So, I’d say that given you currently have your Bankwest Qantas Platinum card, you will have accrued Qantas Points within the last 12 months. This will make you ineligible for the additional 30,000 bonus points, however I would expect that you could qualify for the initial 50,000 bonus points, assuming the spend limit/conditions are met.
To be sure, I’d contact Qantas Money and ask them directly for some confirmation on these T&C’s.
Best of luck!
