How to change card from Citibank Rewards to Citibank Qantas?

I currently have a Citibank Rewards Platinum VISAcard which is locked in with Virgin for purposes of point transfer into frequent flyer programs. In other words, I can only transfer points to Virgin.

Is there a way to change to another Citibank card and then transfer the existing points into this new Citi card and then transfer to the QANTAS FF program?

You can request a product/program transfer but your reward points can’t be “migrated” to Qantas points. You would have to transfer all the points and start afresh.
