How many guests are allowed for Star Alliance Gold members?

Hi all,

I understand that If I achieve Star Alliance Gold courtesy of the HSBC star alliance card, that technically I am only able to take 1 other guest in. As we are planning a family trip to Europe (2A & 2kids), can my wife (as an additional cardholder) also take a guest in to various lounges…. thus allowing for all 4 of us to access?

Hi Marc,

As I expect only the primary cardholder to be gifted Star Alliance Gold status, you can only bring one guest who will be travelling with you. Children above 2 years of age are considered guests. Children under two will be “free” to enter with you.
