Had my Amex Explorer and St George Amplify for a few years. Should I apply for a new card?

Hi brains trust

I’m trying to accrue KrisFlyer points.

I’ve had my Amex explorer for a few years now and am wondering if I should get a new card so I get bonus points. However all the Amex offers indicate I can’t get bonus points for another 18 months

Similarly my St George Amplify

Any suggestions on new credit cards I can churn to to get bonus points?

We can’t give specific financial advice here, but as a general rule, yes, churning cards will get you more points over time than not churning cards.

The article below will give you a good idea of which cards are best for earning KrisFlyer points. I would also add the Citi Premier card to that list. If you apply for the card, meet the spending criteria and turn on Velocity points auto-sweep as instructed, you’ll earn 220,000 Citi Rewards points which can then be converted to 88,000 KrisFlyer points if you manually transfer to KrisFlyer before the auto-sweep date.
