Does your ANZ Adventure Travel card need to be active for your complimentary flight to be valid?

HI,

I still have my return virgin flight owing. I want to book a flight for next July. Can i do this, but then cancel my credit card and still have the valid flight?
So what I am asking is whether the CC needs to be active at the time of the flight?

Hi Smartt

Once you book the flight, the reservation is in Virgin’s hands. You can cancel the card after that.

I am in the same boat, Booked my free flight in September for travel in May 2020, cancelled the card in October.
