Do you earn points on an instalment plan on a credit card?

Hi,
Just wanted to find out that if i happen to take out an instalment plan on the CC for example on my amex card, will i still earn reward points ? any idea if any cards do not support this type of structure, ie. not being able to earn points while on an instalment plan ? not that I can’t pay off my balance but its just to stretch my dollar.

It might be worth a call to Amex to know for sure one way or the other. At least then you wont get a surprise if it doesn’t.
