Is there a way around the business part of this offer? Free annual fee first year and 180k in points is pretty good

There is no way around it. But if you keep looking you might find good offers (previously there were offers like 160k bonus points with $0 first year fee and another offer with 240k bonus points with $395 fee).

Yes, both those offers were for AmEx Explorer (personal).
