You need to ask for the “travel voucher” before you cancel the card! It’s not actually a “voucher”, but credit put into your Virgin Australia Travel Bank. Once it’s in the Travel Bank, cancelling your card will have no effect and the credit will stay there until you use it, or until it expires.
