Can I apply for the American Express Velocity Platinum offer as a Westpac Altitude Black cardholder?

Can I apply for the American Express Velocity Platinum offer as a Westpac Altitude Black cardholder? The terms state that only new American Express customers are eligible. As the Altitude cards are through Westpac I am technically not an Amex customer.

Yes you can, if you have a Bank issued Amex, such as your Westpac Altitude Black Amex, you are still eligible.

You are only ineligible if you have an American Express issued card, such as the American Express Qantas Discovery Card, Platinum Charge Card etc.
