Can Australian American Express Membership Rewards transfer to Avios?

Hi all

I saw this the other day on TPG - http://thepointsguy.com/2014/12/american-express-40-transfer-bonus-to-british-airways-avios/

But I cant seem to see the offer for Austarlian Amex MR accounts. Is that the same for everyone else? Always a shame when the US gets these offers and we dont...

Avios specifically aren’t a partner with Australia Membership Rewards, so we’re not really missing anything - they won’t be a partner as they aren’t a mainstream program for Amex Australia.

We do get transfer bonuses for Velocity, and occasionally Etihad, so I wouldn’t say we’re missing out exactly.

While you can't transfer directly to Avios, you can go via SPG... 20k MR = 20k SPG = 25k Avios... 

Now I just wish SPG would give us a bonus to transfer our Australian MR points in once in a while ;)
