Why does searching for Sydney to New York flights via Japan produce an error on the Qantas site?

Hi All,

I’m trying to book a RTW trip using points.

I was hoping to go Sydney to Tokyo then Tokyo to New York. However, when I add those routes in the Multi-city view it returns an error. Tokyo to New York appears to be causing the issue.

Does anyone know why this is the case? I’m confused because New York to Tokyo works and provides seat options.

Maybe, it’s a typo but did you search Tokyo to New York separately and see available space? If so that should be fine on the Multi-city.

@djtech thanks for your response. Figured out what happened, I think there’s no reward seats within 14 days of the date I searched for (with flexible dates ticked) so that’s why it keeps erroring back on me.

Got it to work when I put in a random date. Thanks!
