Why can't I see Qatar award seats, which are available on British Airways website but not available on the Qantas website?

im trying to book a rtw using qantas points in business and i can see that there are redemption seats on Qatar thru BA website but they do not show up on qantas. is it possible to book these seats by calling up qantas directly?

There’s never any harm in calling Qantas and asking but it’s almost certain that the answer will be no. Qatar is favouring its partner Velocity over its Oneworld partner Qantas, and is only releasing seats to Qantas a few days before the flight.

Similarly, BA is likely seeing more award seats as a program that also uses Avios compared to Qantas.

If another OneWorld airline like American Airlines, Cathay Pacific or Japan Airlines sees the same Qatar award seat, you might be able to infer that Qantas should see similar award seats.
