What is the best way to use expiring 50,000 Korean Air Miles?

I have these miles expiring in Jan 2025.

I’m currently based in Bangkok, not sure how to best use these miles.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Looks like partners include Emirates and Japan Airlines.

Southeast Asia to Japan offpeak is 25k miles in economy. Could do a return for one person if you are willing to do it in economy.

Most airlines have airline partners outside of the alliances.

you are right! looked into this a bit more.

Now I’m wondering how I can book with their partner airlines cause it doesn’t come up on their Korean Air booking website.

From the same website (it is super long!)

“Unfortunately, non-SkyTeam partner awards can’t be booked online. If you want to book a flight with Alaska Airlines, China Southern Airlines, Emirates, Etihad Airways, GOL, Hawaiian Airlines or Japan Airlines with Skypass miles, you’ll have to call the Korean Air Service Center or visit one of their offices.”
