What is the best use of Amex points for USA domestic flights?

Hi all!

I’ll be heading to the USA in September, and we’re yet to book internal flights, hotels, and car rental. I was hoping there’s a more efficient way to use our Amex points than purchasing from the Amex ‘Travel’ website?

From my brief memory, Krisflyer has a sweet spot for flights within the USA continent. Please double check though.
