Hi all. Found a flight from SYD-LHR via Vietnam Airlines for 90k Delta Skymiles, cheapest deal around that I can find.
Problem is I’ve explored all avenues known to me and found no way to convert Qantas/Velocity/Amex points to Delta Skymiles, reaching out to see if anyone has any tips or tricks you can share thank you!

You’re right – it’s very difficult to accumulate Delta points in Australia.
If I wanted to book a Vietnam Airlines flight with points, my first strategy would be to try to use Virgin Atlantic Flying Club points. Virgin Atlantic is a Skyteam partner of Vietnam Airlines, and you can convert AmEx Membership Rewards points to Virgin Atlantic points.
The Virgin Atlantic website is, to put it mildly, clunky. But their call centre staff are very helpful.

Thanks. That’s much better than converting AMEX points to Marriott and then to Delta!
