What are the limitations of transiting hours for a Velocity award booking?

Hi all,

Is it possible to book an award flight (Etihad) Gia Velocity points and transit in Abu Dhabi for 20 hours rather than the normal 2 hours that you get via the search results?

Is this allowed in Velocity award bookings?

Any advice or tips would be much appreciated.
