Wondering if I can get some advise/best way to approach a trip from Melbourne to Milan. Its for 2 adults and one baby who will be approximately 6 months at time of travel.
Where: Melbourne to Milan
When: Mid August to Mid September
Points 70,000 Qantas 80,000 Velocity
Wanting to fly Business for some legs/entire trip. I was thinking of paying for flights and upgrading using points to Business - we also would be looking to stopover for a day or two in Singapore to break up the trip.
We are flexible with airlines although we do like Singapore and thought transferring points to Krisflyer might be a good option.
Any suggestions on how to tackle this would be awesome!
If you do decide to buy economy tickets, ensure they are ones that allow upgrade requests. However, these may be more expensive than no-frills economy tickets and there is no guarantee any of your upgrade requests will be fulfilled.
Maybe use your points for economy or business seats for MEL-SIN and buy business seats for SIN-MXP. Business class tickets from Asia tend to cheaper than from Australia.
