Any suggestions on the best way to do a status run on Qantas at the moment? I need another 140 credits by the end of the year to retain gold but have no trips planned. I am based in Melbourne.
Any thoughts would be appreciated! thanks

Hello and welcome @mmccarthy
Firstly, I don’t know your personal circumstances or what trips you have planned for next year, but I hope you’re being hard-nosed about this and questioning the value of a status run to retain QFF Gold as opposed to, say, taking out a Qantas Club membership. If you’re planning to travel in economy on Qantas partner airlines overseas a lot next year and you’d like the lounge access etc, then a status run might be worth the money. If not, a Qantas Club membership might be better value for money for you.
Having said that, if you can’t wait for a double-status-credit promotion, you might want to consider a few days in NZ? Qantas’ business class fares are sometimes lower to NZ than their equivalent domestic fares, and a return trip in business class will get you 160 SCs.
