Travelling from Perth to Houston via Melbourne and Los Angeles in a month.
PER-MEL Qantas Airways Business Class
MEL-LAX Qantas Airways Economy with Business upgrade requested (QFF Points) for 2 pax
LAX-IAH American Airlines Economy
IAH-LAX United Airlines
then back to Perth via MEL with same class details.
If an upgrade from Economy to Business is not available from MEL-LAX-MEL, what options are there for lounge access in LAX, particularly with a 7 hour stopover on the way to Houston?
We have four complimentary QANTAS Club Invitations (four of us on the MEL-LAX leg) but believe they can’t be used in the TBIT International Business Lounge.
You can also buy a AA day pass. this may allow you to enter into Qantas lounge in TBIT if you are flying QF. Worst comes worst, you will definitely be welcomed into AAdmiral lounge in T4, and there is a small walk way from T4 to TBIT on the airside so you can clear security in T4 (which usually have shorter queue), enjoy lounge in AAdmiral club, then walk over to TBIT.
Thanks for the advice. Unfortunately it looks like the One Day Pass is not available at LAX.\r\n\r\nhttps://www.aa.com/i18n/travel-info/clubs/admirals-club.jsp\r\n\r\nOne Day Pass\r\n\r\nAvailable for $59 at select clubs, excluding Miami (MIA), New York (JFK), Los Angeles (LAX) and Chicago (ORD).
No, Qantas lounge passes can’t be used in tom bradley international lounge as the lounge is one world operated not a Qantas lounge. Secondly Qantas lounge passes can only be used before a Qantas or jetstar numbered flight
