I’ve just booked a business class flight from Perth to New York (JFK) using 139k Velocity points and was wondering what lounge access this entitles me to.
I’m assuming we can access the Virgin lounge at Perth airport or is it the Silver KrisFlyer before we fly?
Also, do we have access to anything at Singapore for the 5.5 hour lay-over?
And on a side-note, if something crops up and we have to cancel can we just pay the $60 or $80 fee and get the points back and/or re-schedule for the same price?

If you are flying Singapore Airlines in business class, you will be entitled to the same lounge access as other singapore airlines business class passengers (no matter if you paid in cash or points). Looking at their guide, you will get access to Singapore Airline’s Silverkris lounge in Perth and other Star alliance lounges including the Air New Zealand lounge there as well opening hours permitting. In Singapore, you have access to their Silverkris lounge as well.
For Velocity, you only need to pay the cancellation fee and you will get your points refunded. If you need to make a change, each time you change the booking will incur the change fee and any points difference will be refunded or charged as needed.
