Participated in the recent velocity promotion.
Transferred 800K Amex points for the 20% + platinum upgrade.
Only got GOLD! - Just called and told need to transfer 800K Velocity points (1.6m Amex ) for platinum.
Has anyone else got the same response.

Probably worth another call. Escalate to a manager. You may have gotten a dud agent.
