Sydney-Hong Kong- NYC (Newark) with Cathay Pacific - What to expect?

Hi Guys,

My family and I are travelling to New York via Hong Kong on December 22, in Cathay Business class.
I’m just wondering if anyone knows whether Cathay are due for any new aircraft…Ticket says the A330 from Sydney and then the 777 from Hong Kong. If anyone has done this trip, how was it?
