Starwood Privilege vs Club Marriott Pacific for dining and other benefits?

With merger of Starwood and Marriott apart from the amalgamation of the loyalty program the Club Marriott Pacific replaces the old Starwood program. It includes more regional properties but offers lesser discount levels on dining and beverages.
Has anyone done any comparison analysis? Are there other offers in the market place?

Will the SPG Gold ?Platinum discounts on food and beverages continue under the merged Marriott program?

I am purchasing the Club Marriott membership, which offers both dining and accommodation discounts at participating hotels. The membership allows me to add one supplementary cardholder, who will have the same benefit as the primary member. Do you want to buy it together and split the cost?
