Should I use my Velocity points or transfer them over KrisFlyer points?

It will cost fewer points to book a Singapore Airlines reward seat via Velocity than to transfer Velocity points over and book via KrisFlyer. So if there’s availability via Velocity, I’d use Velocity points.
However (as always!) it’s not quite as simple as that, and there may be good reasons to transfer to KrisFlyer instead in certain circumstances (including wanting to save money on carrier charges). The article below explains this in greater detail.
