Should I be booking return Qantas classic rewards flights separately?

Hi there! I’m looking to fly to the UK next April and am curious how one goes about booking a business classic rewards flight ASAP? The limitation I see is that let’s say I want to fly out on the 19th of April 2025, I can only book this day on the 19th April 2024. So how do I book the return flight? Do I purchase both legs separately and as they become available? Many thanks

Hi and welcome,

I would encourage you to book any classic reward flights you can see availability as soon as possible. By the time you wait for the return flight, there is a high chance that the first flight is no longer available. There are pros and cons with having the flights on separate itineraries. In this case, securing award seats outweighs any minor cons.

Thank you! I figured I might have to do this but that’s ok! Gives me time so get more points
