Qantas Classic Reward redemption on Emirates aircraft - Are there any fuel surcharges?

Hey Guys,

Short and (hopefully) quick question for you all. I don’t currently have enough points for the award I’m looking to book so cannot see the taxes payable on EK metal awards with QF, do they charge Fuel Surcharges?

Yes they do. They’re pricey too. E.g. AU to EU via DXB on EK = 128k points +~$500 fuel surcharge

You could also get an estimation with Google Matrix website. Search for the flight you are after. In the fare breakdown, total fare minus the base fare is roughly what you can expect to pay.
