Most efficient and cost effective way of travelling from Australia (Brisbane) to UK (Manchester) July 2018?

Hi guys,
I am travelling back to the UK for a trip July 2018.
I currently have about 150K Qantas points. What would be the most efficient and effective use of points to make the trip? My girlfriend would be coming too, I know we wouldn’t have sufficient points for us both but is it possible to book one of us with points and the other with cash?

I am pretty new to this world of travel hacking.

Have you heard about the SIN-Europe-Aus cheap flights with Etihad ? I’d do those and treat yourselves to BNE-SIN in Business.

You could do:

BNE-HKG-MAN for 78k 1 way economy (152k business)

BNE-SYD-LHR for 60k 1 way economy (128k business)

Have a play here for other options.

Might be easier to book both of you on economy 1 way and pay for the remaining flight with $.
