Is Virgin Australia really breaking up partnership with Air New Zealand?

Had a email few weeks back about that Air New Zealand no longer co inside with Virgin Australia. not sure if this was a scam email or legit. haven’t seen any thing on Point Hacks. So thought ask the question.
