Hi from an American Express card (Platinum charge) is there any way to transfer Amex points to American Airline miles ??? In a sensible / efficient manner……

Well there is a way but you do take quite a hit to your points balance. You can transfer AMEX points first to Marriott then onwards to American. Unless you are a 1000 or so miles short of a huge redemption, I don’t think this is really worth it!

THere was a BONUS promotion last year that let you transfer to BONVOY at basically 1:1. This was a golden opportunity… not sure if/when it may get repeated, but keep an eye out. Bonvoy is VERY valuable for the access it gives you to MANY other programs.
