Is it possible to use my velocity points on a flight for my mum?

hi all,

i have about 250,000 velocity points spare and I was wondering if I could use them to fly my mum over from Edinburgh to Brisbane?

do I need to use my points on only me?

can I book a return flight with the departure being outside of australia?

if I can do this is it going to cost me more points then is worth it?

Yes, you can absolutely redeem your points for another traveller with Velocity. They do not need to be named on your account, you can just give them a call or book online and give the traveller’s details at that time.
