Is it possible to book a domestic Australian positioning sector as part of a KrisFlyer redemption?

Hi,

Does anyone out there know if it’s possible to book a domestic Australian positioning sector as part of a KrisFlyer redemption? i.e. I’m looking to book Melbourne to London during school holidays. If MEL-SIN is all booked up but SYD-SIN is available, will Singapore Airlines accept a routing via SYD on a redemption booking? Or do we have to book (and pay) for it separately?

The routing via Sydney doesn’t appear as an option when booking the redemption.

Hi Andy,

AFAIK, it is not possible. In general, I have heard of people buying a cheap positioning ticket to do that.
