I need to find 3 X Business flights to Europe in September/October 2026. Am totally flexible as to the arrival destination/country and just want to fly to Europe in Business. Because 2 of of us are in Qld, and one of us are in Darwin, the plan was to make Denpasar the “staging” point where we would meet up to fly to Europe from there, and I have tried searching for 3 X Business Class from Denpasar to anywhere in Europe with no success . Is it even possible to successfully search for 3 X Business Class flights using the Virgin site? I am used to searching for Business Class flights on Virgin’s site, but am not used to trying for 3 X Business Class flights at the same time and all my efforts so far kick me out if I try for 3 Business Class flights at the same time. I can’t book 2 X Business and “hope for the best” in trying again with the third passenger, as there are three of us and I need to know I have 3 X Business when I book it. Any help appreciated. I tried the Velocity call centre but I think they give you misinformation. The operator claimed they saw 3 X Business class flights on a certain date, but when I immediately tried that date myself I couldn’t see that.
Hi graham,
I don’t know about others but I haven’t had much luck with Velocity/VA seeing 3x business class seats. Most I have seen are 2 seats.
I have seen VA seeing 2 seats, while Krisflyer seeing 4 seats or more on the same flight. Maybe an option is to book 2 seats using Velocity points and the third with Krisflyer miles.
I would even suggest Singapore as the meeting point instead.
I would think it would be easier to find 1x Bali to Singapore, 2x Brisbane to Singapore and 3x Singapore to Europe.
Hi Graham,
It is possible to book 3 or more Business Class rewards through Velocity. See below example for Sydney to London for three next week.
The issue is availability. Most of the time, airline partners such as SQ and QR release up to two reward seats in Business. Some airlines will release seats last-minute (such as the ANA example next week).
As W suggested, you might want to consider transferring points to KrisFlyer and searching through there (it’s easier to get 3+ reward seats in Business) or break up your travels and have someone fly to Bali earlier etc.
Thanks Warren and Brandon. Have taken all your advice on board. Much appreciated!
I do have another question. I continually search for 3 X Business from Denpasar to European destinations in eternal optimism, and just every now and then 3 X Business can just “randomly” appear. Usually I am just “doom scrolling” by stepping through every single date, and (very) occasionally bang! - 3 X Business randomly pop up. Are they just “mirages”? In other words are they just “glitches” that you cannot in reality book? Because if you go back in, and I mean literally straight away within the very next second, they then do not appear. There is no way someone else could have just taken those flights in literally a second. So the way the just randomly appear would appear to be on the face an error??? Makes me wonder are they really there to book in the first place when they (very) randomly pop up? I have found that if you continually to do this (and I mean you have to do it over and over, and repeatedly step through every single date, date after date, which takes a lot of patience and repetition), you can appear to effectively “force” Virgin’s search engine to randomly generate these 3 X Business on a random date (but then they are gone if you go back in and immediately search that particular date which makes me wonder are they “mistakes”?). Next time I see 3 X Business I may just try to take them and see.
I just tried for the first time to actually book one of these 3 X Business Rewards which you can force to appear on random dates by just repeatedly searching dates with 3 X Passengers. Alas… after clicking to book the flight, and being able to even enter the 3 passengers details and credit card details to pay the surcharges… it then comes up with a message at the very end… “The fare is no longer available”. So these are “mirages” that appear in error. They are obviously “mistakes” in the Virgin search engine.
Interesting observation. Thanks for sharing. Yes, I would presume it is phantom availability if the search results are not repeatable.
