Hello. I am painstakingly building an itinerary DPS-SIN-HKG-SFO-ORD-NRT-DPS and am finding possible flights that seem to be inkeeping with RTW ‘rules’ but the points required (for Business) are coming in at 403,000 rather than 318,000. I’m aware that if I throw in a First flight the points jump up to First for all but I haven’t done that. Any clues?
Have you chosen Oneworld flights on DPS-SIN and NRT-DPS? There are no nonstop Oneworld flights on those routes.

I’m seeing KL836 Den-Sin and CI105 NRT-DPS via Taipei. Is the Taipei transit problematic maybe? It is 12 hours
CI is not a oneworld airline. One of the main rules is to only have oneworld airlines in your Oneworld RTW itinerary.
Please revisit the details to refresh yourself on the rules. There are quite a few that trip up many.

Aha! That explains it. Thank you. Since CI came up as an option on the Qantas website I assumed they were One World. Back to the drawing board….
