How to use Virgin Atlantic points for Virgin Australia flights?

Hi Team,

I’ve accrued a few Virgin Atlantic points through some Skyteam travel - I initially chose Virgin Atlantic as my preferred Skyteam FF program (other option was Lotus - Vietnam Air).

I cant for the life of me work out how to use these points to book Velocity/Virgin Aus flights, although it explicitly says everywhere you can.

Has anyone had any success using Virgin Atlantic points to book Virgin Australia flights? I thought this would be the best option for me since I fly between Melbourne and Gold Coast regularly.

Hi,

According to this page, it costs 15000 points for the 825 mile journey in economy.

You need to ring the call centre to book. I have heard that their agent are pretty helpful.
