How to use Velocity and Qantas points to USA?

Hi,
We have enough points to use Velocity one way to USA mainland and QFF on the way back (or vice versa) for my family of four economy.

We are looking to book for October 2023 and I’ve played around on the online booking tools using pretend dates for this year and am slightly confused by when the different airlines (eg Hawaiian, Delta/United/Cathay/American Airlines) add their flights to the booking tool. I can’t see many at all. Is this a covid thing as everything is slowly normalising or just how it is always?

Have you tried looking for 1/2 seats? Generally economy award seats shouldn’t be terribly hard to come by. Hopefully still the case post Covid.
