How to use Amex MR points to redeem business class on Vietnam Air from Sydney?

Hi,

I am rather new to redeeming points for miles for business class airfares. I’ve used Asian miles for Cathy and KrisFlyer for Singapore air. They are rather simply and easy to do.

What’s the best way to use amex points to fly business class on Vietnam Air from Sydney. Which amex partner should I transfer points to?

MR->SPG (2:1)

SPG to Air France, KLM, Delta (1:1)

Example SGN-HKG, Air France & KLM (Flying Blue) is cheaper in points than Delta. But Delta charges no surcharges.
