How to upgrade Qantas award redemption from Economy to Business Class using Qantas points?

I’ve got a ticket mel/sfo using classic points

I really want j class

Can I bid to J class, or is there a restriction on only one class upgrade? Eg to premium?

And if so what sort of points are required?

Do you get a better chance if you bid more. is that even an option?
