How to tell which whether I am on a new or old Emirates 777 aircraft (different business class seat)?

Anyone know how to work this out? The new business class is still 2-3-2 so the seat map alone on the booking page on emirates doesnt really help? Thanks in advance

I have a hunch that this article may be helpful.

The new 777-300ER should have the new first suites?

If so, you could do a dummy First Class booking to check out the seat map if available.

That’s what I was trying to hint at. If the flight has new suites 1-1-1 configuration, that aircraft should have new J.

It’s a bit confusing but there are 777-200 and 777-300ER (3 configs). If you don’t mind sharing the route and date, that might help narrow things down.

Hey doubleplatinum, I have just booked ADL-DXB-MAD return flights and the ADL-DXB sector is a 2-2-2- new refurb 777-200ER with the upgraded Business Class. No First though. My understanding is that this is the only ex-Aus sector currently flying the new fit out. Happy travels.
