How to switch airline program details on a booked flight?

Hi all, I’ve looked through other posts and can’t find the answer for this, so apologies if this is answered somewhere else.

Amazingly, my husband and I were able to both get return tickets to Hong Kong with the Hong Kong Governments recent free ticket promotion (ex. taxes etc). We had to book through a specific link to get the flights, so I had to nominate Asia Miles as my points.
Can anyone tell me how I can change my current booking to collect Qantas points instead of Asia Miles, or can someone tell me how I can transfer my Asia Miles to Qantas points? Im hoping to do a RTW business class trip next year so want to accumulate my points anyway I can!

I’m not exactly sure you will earn points/miles on the free flights but it is definitely worth a shot, especially by trying to credit to a partner airline (e.g. Qantas).

You can try the following to switch airline programs to credit your flights to:

  • Manage booking
  • At the check in counter
  • At the airport lounge

In any case, there is no way to transfer Asia Miles to Qantas points.
