I glanced over an article last week regarding using Singapore airlines points for Perth - Auckland flights , however where do I start, or which website should I use to search availability? I have tried using Singapore airlines website to search flights however it doesnt bring anything when I put Perth - Auckland via their web page. I rang Velocity and was told that I can not upgrade to business class using Velocity Points on Air NZ flights and suggestions please
As far as I know Singapore Airlines does’t fly PER to AKL, only from it’s hub SIN to major Aus cities and AKL direct.
You could search flights to NZ on Virgins website where you can book Air NZ flights but the point redemption is ludicrous. Business class reward seats will be sold out (if ever available) leaving only ‘any seat business’ for a whopping 225900 points one way! The other option is to take non direct Virgin ‘business reward’ flights with stop over in Sydney for approx 71000 points plus $140 taxes one way.
