How to redeem Sydney to Fiji flights using Virgin Velocity?

Hi Keith,

In one of your posts https://www.pointhacks.com.au/best-uses-of-velocity-points/ you mentioned Sydney to Fiji would only need 35,000 Business one way. I am not able to find it this low. It is around 140K one way.

What am i missing?

Hi,

The fare type you should aim for is “Business Rewards” as they cost the least amount of points. However, these are very popular because of the same reason and are in limited supply. To improve your odds, book 11/12 mths in advance.

The higher number of points you quoted is a different fare type and is related to how much tickets costs in $.
