Hi all, I have 250k Frequent Flyer points and want to take my family (4 people) to the USA in Sept. Happy to fly economy and budget is tight. So Points or Points + cash is the go. Any recommendations on either specific tools to use to plan and book flights with rewards points? Or is Qantas website best? Any specialist travel agents that you can recommend that are gun Frequent Flyer redeemers?

For points + pay, I’d think Qantas website is your best bet as you will find availability as long as there are seats available using cash (unlike Classic Reward seats).
Your 250k Qantas points translate to about $1500 via points + pay. If using points on Classic Reward seats, it costs 41,900 pts in economy and 108,400 pts in business (all oneway).
If it was me wanting to use it all on points + pay, I would fire up Google Flights and see which days in September are the cheapest on Qantas and book via Qantas website.
Otherwise, I would try searching for 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 classic reward seats. Depends which option would get more value out of your Qantas pts.
