How to fly from San Francisco to Montreal using Amex points?

Hello fellow hackers,

Any advice on how to transfer Amex membership rewards points across to relevant program to book business class seats from San Francisco to Montreal?

I’m aware of KrisFlyer and Star Alliance partnership with Air Canada - how does this actually work (in terms of booking an Air Canada flight?).

Also I know United and Delta fly this route, what programs can I transfer to from Amex?

Hi Mike,

You can search for Star Alliance (Air Canada incl.) flights on Singapore Airlines website. Click on “redeem” at the search area. You will need to create a Krisflyer acct, which is free.

If you have no luck finding award space, try calling Krisflyer to see whether they see the same.

You can use United website to do some Star Alliance award searches too.
