How to find seats for Adelaide to Kuala Lumpur with Malaysia Airlines using Qantas points?

Can’t find any Business class classic reward seats on any direct ADL-KUL flights on any day. Extremely flexible with dates - Can anyone assist please?

Whenever I want to search for availability, I always use the Multi-Leg search feature. Try using 2 legs… eg: Adelaide → Perth → Kuala Lumpur as a starting point. Be sure to select to use points. If you can’t find capacity from your home city, search elsewhere in Oz as a way to find availability. Here’s a quick search I did for October this year:

Often times, it’s a game of patience and search, and searching… over and over.

It appears that direct flights are either extremely limited or in very high demand… found this early next year:

If you can travel whenever, search for dates around this time, otherwise if you need specific dates, flexibility on routes is the key.
